Sustainable development need help with environmental trends, follow our recommendations.

Sustainable development is everywhere, at the center of all projects.

This is why all our work takes this aspect into account. For your projects, follow our recommendations in sustainable development.

Environmental Strategy and Policy :
Building for the Future

Are you an architect, project manager, engineer or builder ?

Do you want to integrate sustainable development into the design and construction of your buildings ?

Banana Republic Office brings you the best recommendations in sustainable development in order to obtain comfortable, energy efficient buildings that respect biodiversity and biophilia.

The objective :

Designing

Sustainably

The environmental strategy is based on the local climate, the comfort needs of the occupants and the energy resources. For this, we take into consideration :
  • solar analyses of the envelope : natural light penetration, overexposure, glare, thermal discomfort, etc. ;
  • optimization of facades : increase of bioclimatic potential, reduction of heating or air conditioning consumption, improvement of comfort, etc. ;
  • low impact materials.

Real estate
certifications.

Our specifications for your buildings take into account the energy performance, comfort, health and well-being of the occupants. Together we build the buildings of tomorrow.

HEQ, QEB, BREEAM, LEED, LCB … do these acronyms mean nothing to you ? These are real estate certifications attesting to the environmental and energy performance of buildings. Here are some of them.

HEQ

The HEQ (High Environmental Quality) certification is the most widespread in France. It came into force in 2004 and is based on several criteria (economic, ecological, societal…) to measure the sustainability of a new building. The HEQ standard classifies the integration and quality of life of the building in four levels : good, very good, excellent, exceptional.

BREEAM

BREEAM, for Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method, is a method of environmental assessment of buildings. It takes into account energy management, the level of pollution of the building, water management, access to sustainable transport, the well-being of occupants, waste recovery, etc. It is more flexible than the HEQ standard.

LCB

The Low Consumption Building certification is the result of the RT 2020 thermal regulation, which aims to limit the consumption of primary energy (wood, oil, gas, etc.). To obtain this certification, the maximum annual consumption must not exceed 50 kWh/m².

QEB

The environmental quality of the building informs the environmental and sanitary performances of a construction. The design of the building, the equipment and the materials are particularly taken into account. Thermal inertia, acoustic insulation, longevity, robustness, fire resistance and proximity materials are among the targets.

LEED

The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) label is equivalent to the HEQ standard. It assesses the environmental impact and performance of buildings, but is not yet well developed in Europe.
